AUSTRALIA’S BIRTH-RATE.
United Press Association—Copyright MELBOURNE, July 6. The Commonwealth’s Statistician’s report shows that while the birthrate of Australia was 26.4 per thousand, or lower than any European country, excepting Sweden, Ireland and France her natural increase of population was larger than any European country by reason of the wonderfully low death rates, which was only 10.9 per thousand, and lower than any country in Europe.
