SCHOOL SITES.

Press Association.,. ; WELLINGTON, Saturday. Replying to a deputation to-dav from tlie Wellington Education Board which asked for assistance in providing sites for new schools, tlie Hon. Mr. Fowlds said he had only a limited sum to meet similar demands from all parts of tlie colony, and he was sure tlie colony would not agree to a larger borrowing policy. It was unfortunate that localities were not repuired to find some portion of the cost of now schools.. If he had ail unlimited supply of money he could afford to be very generous, but as he was badgered by everyone to make provision for needs he found it- dimcult to find the money. A member of tho deputation suggested the House would vote money if asked to do so. The Minister replied tho House would howl against the Government ior borrowing too much money. They had to arrange to keep within the million every year.
