_ _ AYELLIXGTON, last night,. AATlliam Clarke, a farmer residu" at Vn'ier Hutt. met with an 'accideid on Saturday night which terminated fatally. After alighting from the train at Upper Hutt he went to cross •the line while shunting was in progress. By some means lie was struck by a truck, both legs being crushed. Clarke died in Wellington Hospital at 2.30 o’clock this morning. "Deceased was a married man about 53 years of age.
