The Hon. W. Hall-Jones, Minister for Public Works, left Wellington for Lyttelton on Wednesday night by the Rotomahana. . Miss Tawai Jones, a cousin of Mrs. Carroll’s, succumbed to typhoid fever yesterday, at tho residence of the Hon. J. Carroll. The young lad-" is highly esteemed in the locality and much sympathy is felt for her relatives.
