Reason for cancellation
United Press Association —Copyrignt Received July 4, 9.30 a.m. . MELBOURNE, July 4. Mr. Deakin stated that the contract had been cancelled because the additional bond was not forthcoming. The" original bond of £25,000 is to be forfeited, though it is understood the Government did not intend to deal harshly with the syndicate.
