MAORI LAND BOARD.

At tho meeting of the Tai-Itawhiti Land Board yesterday tho following business was dealt with:— Maugatokerau 1A No. 2, 277 acres 3 roods 5 porches—Leaso tb Dora Spencer, for 21 years ; rental 2s per acre for first 10 years and 2s 6d for remainder of term. On the application of Mr. H. E. Bright this lease was provisionally approved to sth August 1907.

Makarika C, 15 acres—Leaso to Mary S. Sherwood for 21 years; rental 9s 3d per aero. This lease_ was for mally approved on the applicaton of Mr. F. W. Nolan.

Piraurau No. 1, 80 acres—Lease to Maud E. Willis for 21 years: rental Is per acre. On Mr. P. AV. Nolan’s application this lease was provisionally approved to stli August, 1907. Tara'ke sec 3, 324 acres; Orcwha 100 acres; AVaikatea, 100 acres 2 roods, 24 perches; Makareao, 202 acres 2 roods. On the application of Messrs. DeLautour and Barker and after hearing, a considerable amount of evidence the Board decided to recommend the removal of restrictions from above blocks so that the land: might be exchanged with Messrs. Bather Bros.
