BUPREME COURT.
Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH, last night. The Supremo Court, Mr. Justice Button prosiding, opened to-day. Tho whole of the sitting was occupied with a re-trial of Fred Fontonolla for nllegod theft from tho Coronation Hotel, Eltliam, where ho was employed as porter. Evidence was givon similar to the previous trial, and tho Court adjourned at 8.50 till Tuesday morning, accused boing liberated on f 200 bail.
NAPIER, last night. At the Supreme Court to-day a civil action, Sownian v. Dinwiddio, Walker, and Co., Ltd., for alleged libel in connection with last Hastings Poultry Show, was withdrawn, after evidence had boon taken, each party to pay their own costs. An application by Mr. J. J. Patterson for a dissolution of partnership between himself and Mr. J. E. Blackburn was granted.
