CUSTOMS RETURNS.

Arter making l allowance for spirits cigars, cigarettes, tobacco, wine’ sugar, and a long list of beef revenue. on all of which duty has been lost to Oamaru since prohibition, the Customs returns for the year ended June 30th 1907, still'shows a loss of £731. Tjiis is probablv owing to the depression caused through tue abnormally dry season.
