Meanwhile the Winegrowers’ Con- : ferenob at Argeliers' demanded ■ 4 reduction . of taxes, and resolved to continue the muni--cipal strike and the non-payment -ot the present taxes even if the Government sent bayonets. The attitude of, tho winegrowers is intended to influence the Senate, which nevertheless passed the Chamber of Deputies’- Bill.
