Rugby Football Club, in couversation with a Post* reporter, stated there was no truth in the report- tolouraphod from Dunedin that George Small, of Auckland, had been offered the captaincy of the All Back professional team. He also denied the statement that Australia was being looked to for backs. According to Baskiville more good New Zealand backs than are required have offered, in some cases volunteering to "go to England if finally selected.
