FOOTBALL.

The three matches set dow’n for decision to-day on Victoria Domain are Takitimu versus West End in the senior competition, Kaiti City v. Takitimu in the junior, and the same clubs meet in the third grade. It the weather keeps . fine there should bo a large attendance of spectators, as a lot of interest centres in the senior match. The teams are running level for tile championship, and a great battle is anticipated. The junior match will also be keenly contested, and should draw a good number of “barrackers.” The third grade match commences at 1.40 p.m. Hugh Kelly, the erstwhile local representative three-quarter, is expected back here shortly, and will be a great acquisition to the back division of the fortunate team that secures his services. Kelly has been keeping in good practice, and has been playing good games for the Linwood Club in Christchurch. We hear on good authority that when he appears ill the arena it will be as an “all black” West Eiider.
