NAPIER PARK MEETING. Press Association. NAPIER, last night. The Napier Park Racing Club’s winter meeting commenced to-day in fine weather. The course was soft, but some close finishes were witnessed. There was a good attendance. The Slim of £7835 was invested on the totalisator, being an increase of £1244 on the first day last year. Results:— Moteo Hack Hurdles—Golden Comb 1, Pretty Maid 2, Variation 3. Also ran—-Tilson, Matakokiri, Top Rose, Fleka, Cavalcade, Dulcenea, Airiki, Seabohn. W.bn easily. Time, 3.40. Divs, £l4 16s and £1 Is. Petane Hack Handicap—Martyruim 1, Tangeroa 2, Waipu 3. Also started—Chicane, Reservoir, Lavinia, Flower Girl, Campfire, Ntjaruahoe, Eclipse. Won by a head. Time 1.43. Divs, £2 12s and £1 Us.

Stewards’ Stakes Handicap—Lady Warwick 1, Moloch 2,, Hatley 3. Also ran—lntelligence, Hipporofla, Ellerton, Lyrist, Slirapnell Shell, Pantaloon, Rosegrove, La Torpedo. Won by a head. Time, 1.56 4-5.
