AUCKLAND, yesterday.. During the gale yesterday heavy seas completely demolished a portion ot the new breastwork at Maugonui. In Auckland city and'suburbs the gale, raged fiercely all night. It has now moderated. Many fences are down and trejs broken and uprooted. 9 be weather on the West Coast continues very, stormy. The. departure of the s.s. Botoiti for south lias again been postponed. It is also doubtful if tile Rarawa will leave to-day. A small vessel, the Albatross? drifted on Ponsonby wliarf and broke in two.
