At the Colonial Institute conversazione at South Kensington, 2000 people were present. In the absence of Lord Elgin, the Duke of Marlborough, on behalf of the subscribers presented Mr. Frederick Young with an illuminated address and one thousand guineas, in recognition of bis 90th birthday, and his 37 years devotion to the Institute.
