HIS MAJESTY'S THEATRE
BLACK-PIt.EMYSLAV CONCERTS. • ver before in the annals of music m rsew Zealand have two artists of the first magnitude appeared on the same platform. Needless to say, tho financial risk of bringing two such high-priced artists as Messrs Andrew Black and Leopold Premyslav fs an, enormous one, but judging bv the magnificent receptions they have had in the Sydney Town Hall night after night, there is little doubt that the New Zealand tour will prove one of the biggest musical events this colony has ever seen. Andrew Black stands alone to-day as tho greatest baritone on the platform, and no. musical festival in the Old Country is complete without his name. Leopold Premyslav, the most eminent Polish violinist of our time, has just concluded a two years’ tour of the East and United States. Everywhere ho was proclaimed a violin genius, and he has received tokens of apreciation from the highest in the land. He was' commanded to play before the German Emperor, and played three times for the Viceroy of India.
