Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Yesterday. The Hon. Mr. Millar is convinced there are excellent prospects before Auckland province. His northern trip opened his eyes to the possibilities of that part of the colony. A largo area of land is available for settlement, he says, and it seems to be attracting attention from the whole of New Zealand. The land is good, the climate mild, and all conditions, in fact, are favorable to rapid advancement. When the Native lands are opened up, and some of it is of first-class quality, there will be a much greater influx of population that even at present.
