MULQUEEN-TURNBULL

A quiet hut pretty wedding was celebrated .on the afternoon of Sunday. June 16th, at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Chinch, Hamilton, bv the Rev. Father McManus, the contracting parties being Mr. John Francis Miilqueen, of Balfour, Southland, md Miss Violet Mary Turnbull, of Auckland. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, looked charming in a dainty white silk "own, trimmed with accordeon-pleated chiffon and orange blossoms. Chattel-toil, who both wore prettv gowns of sea-green silk and hats to match, and carried shower bouquets of white cosmos. The Little Flower Gill (Miss Dorothy. MeGonagle) wore a pretty white silk frock anil Duchess bonnet, and carried a baskot of beautiful. flowers. Mr. A. Sliwasli acted in the capacity of best man. The bridegroom's present to the bride was n diamond and sapphire ring, and to the bridesmaids gold brooches. After the ceremony a number of relations and friends returned to the residence of the bride’s cousin, where a sumptuous breakfast was partaker, of.
