United Press Association —Copyright SYDNEY, June 21. Tho season’s wool sales closed steady at late rates. A total or fO7 000 bales were sold, 79,000 more than in the previous season. A BANK DIVIDEND. HOBART, June 21.. The National Bank of Tasmania has declared a dividend of 7 per cent. WELLINGTON, last night.. Press Association. THE NATIONAL BANK. - The directors of the National Bank of N.Z., Ltd:, have cabled to the general manager' in Wellington, advising the declaration of a dividend of 6 per cent, for the half-year, and a bonus to shareholders of 2 per cent, on tlio paid-up capital (id/J,000), equalling 1-2'per cent, in all, tor the year ended 31st March last. The sum of £25,000 has been added to the reserv© fund, making it £325,000, and £10,318 is carried forward. The ■ directors have also allocated 1£15,000 in reduction of bank premises, £3500 to the pension fund, and granted a bonus to tile staff. The aifciual meeting ** to be held in London on the 2nd proximo.
