HUMPHREY PARKER’S CASE.

Press Association. WELLINGTON, yesterday. At a meeting of Victoria Collego Council a letter was received __from the Hawke’s Bay Education Board, suggesting the ’ advisability of tile Council having its collego boundaries altered, to bo co-terminus with the outer boundaries of the education district contained therein. The case was pointed out of a student of Gisborne school, who, though nrst on the credit list, was not,under the present arrangement of boundaries, entitled to a Qoemi’s scholarship, his school, though in the Hawke’s Bay education district, not being in the province of Hawke’s Bay. There were _ thirty scliools in the same district in tho same position as Gisborne school. This matter,' and"also the whole question of scholarships, was referred to a legislative sub-committee.
