INSURANCE OF WORKMEN.
United Press Association —Copyright LONDON, June 19. A committee under the chairmanship of Lord Farrer, appointed to enquire into the practicability and desirability of the Post Office providing a connection with the savings bank for the insurance of employers against liabilities under the Workmen’s Compensation Act, reports that it is undesirable for the State to embark in an insurance scheme. The committee deprecates haste in the matter.
