They had to stand in the rain for some time. The trustees should take the work in hand at once.

It was stated that the Chairman and Mr. Matthews were the building committee. Mr. McDonald moved that the building committee take stops for the erection of a suitable building. Mr. Lysnar seconded the motion which was carried.

Mr. Matthews thought that it might be possible to ai range a meeting place in the City Chambers. The secretary said it made no difference to him. The Chairman said there could be no objection on the part of the Council. He thought that if they could hold the meeting at the hospital, it would be better. If the shelter shed was erected there should be no objection to holding the meetings there. Mr. McDonald thought it would bo more convenient for the house surgeon for the meeting to bo held at the hospital. The Chairman stated that the honorary staff were willing to commence as soon as the house surgeon arrayed. Referring to the regulations V ipi the honorary staff, the Chairman preb posed that the following be added: That all complaints must be made in writing within one week of the cause of complaint arising. Mr. Lysnar suggested that a. patient might not like to do this while in the institution. It could be made a week after lie left the institution. The Chairman said that if people did not make complaints they could not redress them. They got complaints when it was impossible to do anything. , . _ . Air. Lysnar said patients would make the complaints when they emerged from the hospital, and would not care to do so before. Mr. Matthews was in accord with Air. Lysnar. Mr. Dewing proposed that it be made, “or not later than seven days after the patient is discharged.”— This was carried.

There being no special business the meeting adjourned.
