BUSINESS NOTES.
A position in a general store is sought by an advertiser. In another column the secretary of the Gisborne Racing Club asks for tenders for the right to take charge of horses at the club’s steeplechase meeting. Tenders close on Saturday. Furnished rooms in AVfiataupoko are advertised to let. An advertiser wants to buy a cheap second-hand gentleman’s bicycle. A jack-plane which has been lost is advertised for. A notice regarding a * greenstone brooch found in AVhataupoko appears elsewhere.
A clerk with knowledge of shorthand, typewriting, etc., applies for a position. Five sheep dogs are advertised for sale. An advertiser wants to rent or lease business offices on the ground, floor in a central position. A centrally-situated shop is advertised to let. Furnished bedrooms and use of kitchen for three ladies are inquired for in this issue. A second cook is wanted at the Turanganui Hotel. Mr. F. J. Wilson calls for tenders, closing on the 22nd hist., for alterations, additions to the Union Bank of Australia building. A general servant is wanted by Mrs. G. Barron, Whakawhitira. Messrs. W. Pettie and Co. wapt six diessmaking hands and assistant coat hands. The time for receiving tenders for the erection of goods shed and cattle yard at Puha railway station has been extended till the 22nd inst. A young man wants board and residence. Tenders, closing on Thursday, arc invited by Mr. F. J. Wilson for alterations to a residence. Mackrell and Colley want six carpenters and two joiners. Tenders are invited by Mr. F. J. Wilson for the erection of premises in brick in Gladstone-road. ‘ A notice regarding licenses is inserted in this issue by the Borough Council.
