GOVERNMENT GRANTS.
COUNTY COUNCIL’S LIST. The Cook County Council yesterday discussed a- schedule of Government grants to be asked for in this year’s Estimates. The total of the list approved is the moderate one of £9,600. Last year the Council made a request for grants totalling £26,600 and received but about £4,500. ‘‘Let’s hope we have better luck this time,” remarked a Councillor.
