EARTHQUAKES IN THE SOUTH.
Press Association. DUNEDIN,' last niglit.. Two severe shocks of earthquake were felt about 8.30 p.m., but no damage is reported. GORE, last night. A pronounced shock of earthquake was felt in Gore to-night at 8.30. The taller brick buildings in the town creaked rather ominously during the shake, which lasted several seconds. The movement appeared to be from west, to east. INVERCARGILL, last night. A slight: earthquake preceded by a rumbling noise, was felt here at. 8.30.
