WHANGAREI, yesterday. The s.s. Kanieri picked up a capsized canoe with sails set, and the words, “J. L. Buchanan, Lake Takapuna,” written in pencil on, some boarding. ; AUCKLAND, yesterday.
The canoe found off Whaugarefwas abandoned by a young man named Kenneth Buchanan, who was capsized, an,d swam ashore two miles.
