Oft Din, and afterwards won a special prize given by Lord Lonsdale for 7ft and over, jumping 7ft 4in. He was subsequently sold to a Belgian .buyer for 500 guineas. At tlio Botanic Society’s show, the South Australian Government were awarded a gold medal for a splendid exhibit of apples. There was an excellent show of colonial fruits at- tlio Hosticultural Society’s exhibition. Tlio South Australian Government and Mr. Slioobridge, a Tasmanian, were awarded gold medals, Other Victorian and South Australian exhibits obtained eight silver- and bronze medals. -
