A chapter of accidents occurcd at the Oaklands* Hunt Club meeting. Three horses fell in one race and one had to be shot- The jockeys Cosgrove and Trainor were injured, and MacDonald, an amateur rider, Jijid his collarbone broken in another event, while Hogan, a well-known jockey, whs killed by a fall‘in the Bolinda Steeplechase.

During the season which closed with the winter meeting on Saturday, tlio Auckland Racing Club put through the totalisator £216,288, an increase of £17,409 on. the previous season. STALLION SHIPPED AWAY. AUCKLAND, last night. The stallion, Swordfish, purchased recently by a New South Wales breeder, was shipped to Sydney today by the Waikare.
