Of the 162 coal mines in the colony, 114 are in Otago. In Invercargill last week there was a wedding that did not pass off without a hitch. The bridal party and (officiating ministers were ready for the service, but the bridegroom was missing. He had gone, through a misunderstanding, to the wrong cluiroh. Ay be n he did arrive and all was going merrily, it was discovered that the marriage license was missing. The Registrar's office being closed, a cab was despatched post baste to bis residence. The official was- at dinner, and decided to let Yenns, Adonis, and the parson wait, while two nervously impatient people and several hungry ones waited in fhe church- The story d-oes not toll whether the bridegroom forgot anything else.
