The Colonial Sugar Refining Company has decided to iucrease the capital, and is-issuing 15,000 new shares of £2O each, bringing the paid-up capital to 2} millions, ft proposes to pay £5 per share by the transfer of £75,000 from profit a.nd loss to capital, the shareholders paying the balance of £ls per share. GOLD-MINE LEASED. AUCKLAND, last night. At an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the Hauraki Freeholds Limited, held at the Company’s office, the resolution passed on May 20tli last was confirmed, that the directors enter into anagreement with Mr. William Dawson of Auckland to let the mine and property of the company to him on tribute for three years at a royalty of 10 pier cent, in net proceeds derived during the time of tribute, and furthermore to grant the tributer the opition within twelve months of pmrehasing the mine and piroperty for £20,000. MEAT COMPANY DIVIDEND. WELLINGTON, last night. The Gear Meat Company to-day declared a dividend for the six months ending May 31st, at the rate of S pier cent, pier annum.
