A PROSPEROUS LODGE
The half-yfcarly meeting of Lodge Turanganui, No. 7, U.A.0.D., was held in the ' Lodge-room, Cliildersroad, last evening, Bro. A. Wade, P.D.P., presiding.
< There was a large attendance of members, the occasion being the receipt of the half-yearly balance-sheet and the election of officers. The balance-sheet showed that the lodge was in a very sound financial condidition, the total amount of the funds now standing at £3275 2s Gd, being an increase of £207 Os 9d for the half-year. The secretary announced that the society had now £7OO on hand for investment.
The following officers were elected : —Arch-Druid, Bro. Spiers; ViceArch, Bro. W. J. Wliinray; ArcliDruid Bards, Bros. Jas. Sealy and F. H. Creamer; Vice-Arch Bards, Bro. R. E. Fisken and G. Smaill; Timer Guardian, Bro. West (re-elected); Outer Guardian, Bro. F. Solves; secretary, Bro. G. E. Barton (re-elect-ed) ; treasurer, Bro. R. G. Crawford (re-elected); minute secretary, Bro. A. E. Walker; auditor, Bro. Lawless; trustee, Bro.’ R. T. Seymour. These officers will be installed into their respective offices next lodge night.
Six candidates were nominated for election. The social committee reported that arrangements for the Druids’ annual social to be held on July 4th were well in hand. Tliistjgfalways one of the most popular dances of the season, and this year’s social promise? to be equally successful,
