The TJ.S.S. Co.’s Talune arrived from Napier and South yesterday morning, and left for Auckland Passengers: Missos Burton, Hut., Fcster,° Roi; Mesdamcs Westnioreland, Martin. Street'. Rigger, Sainshurv; Messrs Peddle (2), Smithies, Lovinge, Ireland, Murphy, Lewis, McKinnon, Stafford, Westmoreland, Williams, Ballantyne, Ferry, Bradshaw, Foam, Duncan, Kettle, Jarrett, Holdsworth, Webb, Riggei, Hennessv, Evans. Te Kooti Hockey Club (12). and 30 storage. ( Messrs Huddart, Parker and Co. s g.s. Victoria arrived at noon from Auckland and Sydney, and left lor South. Inward passengers: Misses Maguire, Nurse Williams, Sisters of Mercy (2), Mesdamcs Hepburn, Colledge, Burch and child, Fisher, Howie, Scott and child. Horne, Bryant and child; Messrs Cathie, I'ranklin. Martin, Wilson, Nisbott, Finn, Simson, Collcdge. Gordon. Halley, Ford, Heffernan, Hendrickson, Jarvis, Burke, Plusjack, Noakcs, Andrews, Selwyn, Vowles, Sclwood, Smith, Williams, White, Evans, and Fuller. The auxiliary schooner Fairburn left yesterday afternoon for Napier. The ketch Coronation arrived at 0 a.m. yesterday from Ngunguru, which port was left at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, 28th May, the wind boing S.S.W. The vessel passed Little Barrier next morning, and anchored off Bream Head, as a heavy sea was encountered. She passed East’ Cape at midnight on Monday, -and light winds were met with down the coast. The vessel arrived in the bay on AVednesdny night, and berthed at the wharf this morning. Her cargo consisted of 130 tons of coal tor Messrs Robh Bros.
The steamer Putiki arrives this morning from Westport with coal for the Westport Coal Company. Transhipments ex Mamari came to hand by the Victoria yesterday afternoon. The U.S.S. Co.’s Waikare arrives on Saturday from South, and leaves for Auckland. Advice form Sydney states:—'llie schooner, Stanley has been sold to a Napier syndicate for service on the New Zealand coast. The Rona experienced exceptionally rough weather on the voyage from New Zealand, and was compelled to jettison her deck cargo of 80,000 ft. of timber.
