SHIPPING.

The schooner Awanui left yesterday for Mercury Bay for timber. The auxiliary schooner l'uirburn (Captain Fletcher) left Auckland on Wednesday, 29th May, the wind being southerly. Fine weather was experienced crossing the Bay o Plenty, and To Araroa was reached on Saturday morning, where the vessel sheltered for two days, owing to the heavy weather, and left at J a.m. on Monday. Fort was reached at 9 o’clock yesterday. Her cargo consisted of 37,000 bricks for Mr. Geo. Smith.

Tlio Tyser steamer Niwaru is expected to complete local loading this morning, and proceed to Bluff. The U.S.S. Co.’s Squall left nt noon yesterday for Napier, where repairs will be effected. Messrs. Huddart, Parker, and Co.’s s.s. Victoria was timed to leavo Auckland at midnight last night, and is expected at 8 p.m. There will be one launch on her arrival. The U.S.S. Co.’s Wanaka arrives early this morning from south, and after discharging produce leaves for Auckland.

A barquentine is reported as having passed East Cape at 4.30 p.m. yesterday. This will probably bo the Frank Guy, which left Newcastle on 17th May, and is now due with coal for the Westport Coal Company.

The auxiliary schooner Waiapu (Captain Page) arrived from To Araroa, where she left at 9 a.m. Monday, at' 4.30 p.m. yesterday, but got caught in the mud at low tide. She has about 40,000 ft of timber.

Arrangements are being made for a Shaw, Savill boat to arrive at Gisborne about the end of this month to load equal to 20,000 carcases from the Gisborne Sheep Farmers’ Freezing Works. Common, Shelton, and Co. will be the agents. The s.s. Putiki left Westport at 1.15 p.m- yesterday with coal for the Westport Coal Co., and should arrive to-morrow night’s tide or the following morning.

The N.Z. Shipping Co.’s R.M.S. Paparoa arrived at Monte Video from Loudon on the Ist instant. The U.S.S. Co.’s Talune was expected to leave Wellington at 9 o’clock last night, being delayed by bad weather in Wellington. Failing improvement, the vessel will he despatched from that port at 11 this morning. The following passengers have booked for Auckland: —Miss Eastwood, Mrs. Kruse, Messrs. Cussen, Kruse, McCutclian, Segedin, Wilson, Butler.
