Tho steamer Oroya broke down off Ushant on Saturday evening and remained in a helpless condition for three hours while damago to tho intermediate crank shaft was temporar- , ily repaired. Fortunately the wind f r ~ was off the land. Subsequently she steamed to Plymouth" where the passongers were landed. The Oroya retnains for repairs.
