The Opotiki Herald reports that on. May 17th Rua was at Ruatoki with 100 followers. Particulars of a somewhat remark- . able recovery from serious injury have been published. Master Richard Church, who has been an inmate of Riverton Hospital for the past four years has been cured* of terrible injuries received through his clothes catching fire. The cure has been- a remarkable one. So severe were the (injuries of the child, who was five years old at the time of his entry to the hospital, that very little hope' was held out of saving his life. Nearly the whole of the head. and shoulders wero badly burned, the top of the head and ears being literally charred, the latter falling off shortly after his admission to the institution., By the use of grafts, however, which were given by. a number of friends, the child is now comjjletely healed, and he will be discharged in the course of a few days.
