BOWLING.

TURANGANUI CLUB. At the above Club’s green yesterday afternon, the final in tlio competition for tbo President’s Fours was decided, when the teams skipped by Martin and Nasmith jun met. The result was: McSkimming, McConnell, Hallam, Martin (skip) 22 v. Earle, Lucas, Morrison, Nasmith jun (skip) 12. This was a splendid game, the scores being no criterion of the play. Nasmith's team led, and on the Bth head was 7 to 6. Good play on the part of McConnell- greatly assisted Martin’s side, and thoy gradually drew away from their opponents. The latter continued, to play a splendid uphill fight, and made a good recovery at about the 16th head.. The 19th head nearly proved fatal to Martin’s team, their opponents lying five with splendid bowls round the jack, but Martin with a firm shot drove, and following up obtained the shot, thus placing the issue beyond doubt. Martin’s team thus win tho medals presented by tho President (Mr. G. 1 Matthewson).
