CHRISTCHURCH, last night.
A boy, 17 years of age, named Leslie Beswick, was experimenting with an acetylene generator at Hornby this afternoon, when it suddenly exploded, and a portion struck him on the head, fracturing his skull and inflicting other injuries, from which he died.
