Sclieelite is now 'one of tile recognised exports of New Zealand. During the past' year nearly 95 tons were exported, valued at £5520. The principal exporters (says the New Zealand Hines Record) are Messrs Donaldson Bros., Macrae’s Flat, owners of the Golden Point and Mount Highly gold and seheelite properties. The lode at Mount Judah, at Glenorcliy, near the head-waters of Lake Wakatipu, has been opened up during the past year, and a few tons of sclieelite produced. Considerable attention has been devoted to other lodes that are known to exist in the Macrae’s district and on the Laminerlaw and Leaning Hock ranges, also at Barewood. At the Top Valley, in Marlborough, sclieelite of excellent quality is found closely associated with the auriferous lodes, and a fair quantity of the mineral has been exported.
