To-night Madame Arral gives her farewell concert, with an entirely different l programme. That she will he given an enthusiastic farewell after her triumph of Wednesday night is a foregone conclusion, and a magnificent programme has been provided for the delectation of her patrons, opening with the famous selection, “Thou Charming Bird,” from “The Perl of Brasil,*’ David’s masterpiece, in which the voice and the flute furnish a duet of such sweet [brilliancy that did one not see the singer he would believe there were two flutes, so perfect are the liquid notes. The opera of “Carmen” will bo drawn ujion for the spirited and alluring Habanera, sung as only Blanche Arral can sing these Spanish songs. The finale will be selections from “Faust,” with which Madame Arral scored such an enormous success at the New Zealand (Exhibition. The opera “Eaust” is well known to everyone, and the famous Jewel song has entranced everyone who has had the good fortune to hear Madame sing it. In Wellington Town Hall, filled to overflowing, 2700 people stood up and cheered her to the echo after the grand finale from “Faust.” The visit of Blanche Arral to Gisborno should be one long to he |omemhered, as it is so seldom that an artiste of her rank and talent, in the very zenith of her powers, pays a visit to this country. To commemorate her visit to Gisborne, Madame Arral has ordered that each lady attending the concert be given a souvenir likeness with a fac simile autograph, which may he obtained at the oflico of the theatre.
