terday. . The Union Company's new turbine ferrv steamer Maori is expected to be launched at the end of this week. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Co.’s B.s. Corinthic arrived yesterday morning from Wellington to load for London. The vessel is expected to return south on Friday evening or Saturday morning. Local shipments: 15,000 carcases mutton and beef, 2000 quarters beef, 200 casks tallow and pelts, 200 bales wool. The Kereru and tlio Kaeo aro expected from Auckland in about a week’s time with general cargoes.
The auxiliary schooner, Fairburn, left yesterday morning for Tokomarn and Auckland.

The s.s. Rum left Napier at 2.30 p.m. yesterday for Gisborne. The New Zealand Shipping Co’s It M.S. Ruapehu arrived at Wellingto at 10.30 a.m. yesterday from London via Capetown and Hobart. The N.Z. Shipping Co.’s ° s. Opaw*» arrived at Monte Video on Saturday and left for London on Suud iy evt ning.
The U.S.S. Co.’s Miowera arrives from Napier and south on Saturday morning and proceeds to Auckland and Sydney. The U.S.S. Co.’s Tarawera returns from Auckland on Sunday afternoon and leaves for south. Messrs.
