A CHRONICLE OF CRIME.
The Tribune Russe, a revolutionary newspaper published in Paris, gives the following terrible laconic chronicle of the recent events of the Russian revolution, from September 7tli to .December 7th of the past year. During those three months revoketionists and robbers have killed 49Q or the Czar’s officials apd 480 private persons. There have also been 785 attempts on the lives of private individuals and officials, 5,282,000 francs have been robbed or confiscated from
the government treasury, private •companies and individuals have been robbed of about 3,066,000 francs and there have also been 540 attempts
on persons and the private property of individuals, whilst the total number of robberies, attacks and attempts on the lives of officials and other persons is 2071.
The Government on its side has retaliated by trying 460 persons by court-martial and executing them. The activity of the courts martial has evidently not terrified the revolution-
aries and has not contributed 1° re “ store peace in the country, which the government, promised-.
