KAITI-CITY JUNIORS. The annual meeting of the junioi of the Kaiti-Citv Football Club w: held at Die Royal Hotel last nigh Air. J. 3. Martin presiding. Thai was a fair number present. Sevc new members were elected.

Tlie Secretary, an. \Y. Howard, read the annual report of die i\en Zealand Referees mssociatiou held at Dunedin at Easter. The local Association was unable to bo represented at the meeting.
In presenting the second annual report the Executive heartily congratulated members on last season’s work, showing the benefit to both players and the public generally, who could now depend on capable referees in controlling the games. Great interest was taken by members, who atotnded meetings regularly. Numerous .rules were interpreted which enabled football to reach a higher standard. The finances were in a satisfactory state, for after paying all expenses there was a cash balance to carry forward. The report was adopted. A Tho election of office-bearers resulted: —Chairman, xur. R. G. Hallarnorc (re-elected); vice-Cliairman, Air. J. J. Martin; Secretary and Treasurer, Air. W. Howard; Appointment Committee, Alessrs, Hallamore, Howard, Martin, Carr,. IJay ; Examination Committee, Alessrs. Hallamore, Howard and Hay.

TEAM FOR ENGLAND. Press Association. AVANGANUI, yesterday. Advices received here from England by the last mail state that the Northern Union Rugby clubs have received a communication suggesting that New Zealand should send a team Homo next year to play clubs under the Northern Union rules -The leading clubs have been asked what support can be promised. The London Telegraph, commenting, states that the replies have not yet boon sent, but the leading clubs favor the project, and it is regarded as certain that a New Zealand team will visit England next season. AVELLINGTON, last night.
AVitli reference to the telegram from Wanganui that a team of N.Z. Ru<d>y footballers is likely to visit En-dand next season to compete against tlie Northern Union Rugby Clubs there, Air. E. AVylie, secretary of the New Zealand Rugby Union, states: “1 have had no official communication from the Northern Unions on the subject of visiting them. As wo subscribe to the English Rugby Union (strictly amateur) it is impossible for any N.Z. players to play against, the Northern Union men. without coming under tho ban of our professionalism laws (meaning life disqualification). Any tour arranged must he purely on professional lines and would not, 1 fool sure, have tho sanction of the N.Z. Union.” He adds that no doubt it would be a. private venture or speculation.
HOCKEY. CITY CLUB. At a .recent meeting of hockey players it was unanimously decided to discontinue the district system, and inaugurate four club teams, the principal players to be distributed amongst the various clubs. The first club meeting under this system was held at the Royal Hotel last night, when the City Hockey; Club held its inaugural meeting, Mr. C. E. Sargisson presiding. There were present: Messrs Crinlinton, Wilson, Armstrong, Lewis, and Davy (4). The following officers were appointed : President, Rev. Father Lane; vice-presidents, Messrs T. Adair, W. Miller, F. Harris, J. 11. Martin, and Dr. Schumacher: captain, " Mr. J. Wilson; deputy-captain, Mr H. Armstrong ; secretary and treasurer, Mr. W.Lewis ; ground .committee, Messrs Sargisson, Wilson, Armstrong, Martin, and H. Davy; selection committee, captain, deputy-captain, and Mr J J. Martin; delegates to P.B. Hockey Association, Messrs Wilson, and Sargisson.
It was decided to make the colors greon and white shirt and white pants.
. TE RAU CLUB. A largely -intended meeting of the To Rail Club was held at the To Rail College last night. Great enthusiasm was shown in the proceedings, and it was anticipated that a strong team would be entered for the championship. Twenty-five members were enrolled, including a large number of new players. The election of officers resulted:— President, Rey. II .Williams; vicepresidents, Revs. Chattel-ton ond Cockerill. Dr, CV.ier. Messrs Nield and Hymns; secretary, Mr. P. W. Bnshnell; treasurer, Mr. W. Friday; captain, Mr. A. J. Tanner; deputycaptain, Mr. W. Friday; delegates to P.B. Hockey 7 Association, captainand secretary; committee, captain, deputy-captain, secretary, and Messrs Allen and Brown.
