Air. J. Doyle, of Gisborne, who has beon for a couple of years in the Union Shipping Company’s office at Wellington, is being re-transferred here, and arrives on Wednesday morning. Captain Jackson Barry died at Christchurch on Wednesday. Air. Anderson, late engineer cm the. Tuatea. is lying iil at his residence and is ill a critical condition. .
Air Bert. Hardy, in the employ of Alessrs Alacky, Logan, and Caldwell, leaves for Auckland to-morrow to take up a position in the Auckland branch of the firm. Afi- Hardy has been over two years in Gisborne, and during that time has made many friends and acquaintances, who will be sorry to lose him.
