The Hon R. McNab arrived at Auckland from the Thames late o Saturday niglit, and left for Wellington via New Plymouth on Monday afternoon.
The Rev. Charles Worboys died at Auckland on Monday. He was formerly a minister of the Free Methodist Church and later joined tlie Presbyterian Church. He held charges at Auckland, Christchurch, and Opotiki, and retired after active ministerial work five years ago.
’The Acting-Premier and Native Minister arrived at Now Plymouth by special train at 11.30 a.m. on Monday to attend Mr. E. M. Smith’s funeral, lion, R.MsNab has also arrived from Auckland.
Mr. Bert Bright, the well-known Kaiti-City footballer, while alighting from his horse at tlie wharf on Sunday landed on a stone and sprained his right ankle.. It is rather painful, but lie can move about.
Owing to bis health having broken down Mr Simson lias decided not to contest the Borough election.
