BANKRUPTCY. A meeting of the creditors of A. C Limvood was held at the office of the Official Assignee yesterday afternoon. Bankrupt said that up till recently he had been doing hard manual labor the past three or four months. Had been working at the Freezing Works. The work was not constant. His health had broken down while working at the Freezing Works, and he was in the Hospital for about six weeks with intermittent fever. Had been working in the fellniongorv. In the past twelve months had been laid up for about four months. Previous to working at the Freezing Works was working on the roads at Tolaga Bay for about three months. On this work he averaged 6s a day. Before going to Tolaga Bay three yeans ago had worked for two years for a builder at Wairoa. Never had anything . beyond what he earned. Had a family of three. Attributed his bankruptcy to the pressuro of Messrs. Holder and Lockwood, who had taken out a judgment summons for about. £5. Since filing his petition in bankruptcy ho had got work which would give him hope of being able to liquidate ail his just debts within a year.
