Bankrupt in his filed statement says:—“l arrived in Tolaga Bay from Wairoa about three years ago, where I was engaged by the Cook County Council for a few months, but during the winter I had only casual labor. From there I came to Gisborne about two years ago, and have been employed in varous capacities ever since. While at the Gisborne Freezing Works my health gave way and for some time I was unable to do anything whatever. When I recovered I obtained several jobs, but nothing permanent, though I had hopes of getting into something which would have enabled me to meet my engagements. The immediate cause of filing is pressure from on.c creditor. I have a wife and three children entirely dependent upon my earnings. I attribute my bankruptcy to ill-liealtli, as I should otherwise have been able to secure better employment at more remunerative salary. Since filing I have been appointed to a position which should in time enable mo to meet all my liabilities in full, and had it come a little sooner I should not have been, compelled to file.”
