WEST END CLUB.

every match played and the juniors won all matches but one, and the Club was in the pleasant position of having won both cups. Very little money was got in last year and the Club had been left with a debit balance. Even less money had been gol in this year and tho debit balance at present was about £9. During the year the total receipts had been £1 —only three senior, aur one junior had paid their subscriptions, the rest had been getting their football on the cheap. Mr. SlferrifF had stood the brunt of paying out foi- the pasf five years; an din apologising for his unavoidable absence lie wished to be relieved of his position of honorary benefactor to .the Club.
The Chairman said perhaps the lack of funds was due to the fact that lately the Secretary had been changed in the middle of a year. 'i’lie following officers were elected: —Patron, Hon. Jas. Carroll: President, Mr. A. F. Kennedy; viecPresidcnts. Revs. Chattcrton and Williams and Messrs. Burke, Paisley, Hepburn, Colley, R. Robertson, Mackrell, Brary, and Peacocke: vice-President of the Rugby Union. Mr. J. Burke; secretary, Mr. R. Olsen; treasurer, Mr. R. 0. Sheet: captain, Mr. Jas. Stewart; vice-cap-tain, Mr. Pine; delegates to Rugby Union, Messrs. Cowan and Sherriff: selection committee, Mr. Sherriff and the captain and vice-captain; management committee, Messrs. Howard, Henderson, Cowan, Para ire. Brown, and Koherc; junior delegate. Mr. B. Johnston. The following new members were elected: —Messrs. Olsen, Ibbetson. Connor, Sheath, Mason, Hutchison. Douglas, Doreen. Hepburn (3). A. and B. Thomson, Henderson. Sawyer, H. Tyler, C. McDonald, T. Hamilton, T. Cotton, 0. Jones. Kingston. 11. Jones, C. Hamilton. Rewi, and N, 101 i. It was moved that the junior cup. which the Club had won outrightshould again he put up for competition. An amendment was proposed that the cup be retained.
The opinion was expressed that if the Cup was handed back it should he called the West End Cup and not the Rugby Union Cup. It was further suggested that the cup be given to the third team or tile seniors for competition. It was finally decided lo hand Die cup to the Rugby bnion. It was proposed that th ; «r-"i\ '.t V v .itc to the Rugby Union to see ii a cup or banner couhl not be supplied for the seniors. Mr. Cowan stated that a cup had been promised by the Hon. Jos. Carroll. Medals donated by Mr. Cowan for most improved junior players were presented by the Chairman as follows: —Forward, Patterson; back, W. Redd ell. A vote of thanks to Mr. Cowan was recorded on the minutes. The Secretary -was instructed to write to the Rugby Union asking about the medals promised for the winners of the sevon-a-side tournament. Mr. Cowan asked that all new members should at once fill in the forms demanded by the Rugby Union, so that the teams could be got in working order early. A vote of thanks to the Chairman and the Collegs authorities for the use of the room concluded the meeting.
