Speeches wore made by Messrs Chittendon, Hosio, Dompliy, Marshall, and others eulogising tlie good qualities of Mr. Wellsted. Mr. Wcllsted having suitably replied, an adjournment was made to a private room at tho Masonic Hotel, where speeches were again indulged in, intersperced with songs and recitations. After spending a most enjoyable evening cheers were given for Mr. Wellsted and family, and many hearty good wishes expressed for their future welfare.
