CORRESPONDENCE

To the Editor of the Gisboino Times Sir, —I note a number of railway sleepers on the wharf. These are for the railway. Now that the winter is at hand, if the Railway Department could only be induced to order the engineer in charge of the construction of . the line the short lengths which will connect with the up country roads could be ready to open for traffic in a short time; and what a boon this would be, only those who have to travel over the dangerous Cliff Road in wet weather know. Trusting this may be noted and the work put in hand. I am, A SETTLER.
