TURANGANUI CLUB,

Saturday afternoon saw a good muster of bowlers at the above club’s green, when a number of enjoyable games were played. As the season progresses keener interest- is being taken in the pastime by the members and tlie competitions are evoking much rivalry. The club has closed entries for Handicap Fours and Champion Singles, the number of entrants for tho former being a re-' cord for the club. The competitions are: HANDICAP FOURS. For tho above medals have been donated by the President (Mr. G. Matthewson) and good games are expected, there being 24 entries. The following are the entries (as placed) with tho handicaps and the draw for the first round.

Morse, Skillicorn, Ratcliffe, Sheet, (skip) scratch v. Barry, H. Martin, Hepburn, Nasmith (skip) 3 points. McSkimming, McConnell, Hallain, Mflrtin (skip) 3 points v. Hird, Mackrell, Bennett, Sawyer (skip) .1 point. Earle, Lucas, Morrison, Nasmith, jnr. (skip) 3 points v. Neill, Joyce, Jeunc, Colley (skip) 3 points. BENNETT CUP. For the championship singles for the cup presented by Mr. C. J. Bennett, good entries have been received. The following is the draw for the first round : Jeunc v. Hallain. Martin v. Sheet Lucas v. Colley Morrison v. Morse Nasmith v. McConnell Mackrell v. Sawyer Bennett v. Nasmith, jun. The first round is to bo completed by Saturday next, 13tli instant, or forfeited. As each player meets eacli player, entrants will be required to arrange for the other games. Press Association. AUCKLAND, last night. Easter bowling tournament concluded yesterday in the play-off for tho pennant match. The Carlton Club teams beat Oneliunga. In the final of tho invitation pairs Jacobs and Forster were beaten by Hirst and Newcastle.
