CAPTAIN OF WAIPIRO CLUB INJURED. Press Association. NAPIER, Last Night. The New Zealand Polo Tournament was continued at Hastings today, two games in the handicap cup being played. In the game Rangitikei A (scr.) v. Wellington B (15). Rangitikci scored two goals in the first spell and quo in the second, when A. Williams, captain of the Waipiro Club, who was playing in the AA’ellington team in place of Earl Williams, who was injured on Wednesday last, had a nasty spill, his pony stumbling with him. The result was that Williams had his shoulder dislocated and his arm broken. Both riders met with their accident when riding the same pony. In consequence of the accident AVellington B withdrew from the competition, not having another man to fill the vacancy.
Hawke’s Bay A (2) v. ’Wellington A (10) was won by the latter by 15 goals to 8. THE ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the New Zealand Polo Association was held at Hastings today. It was 'ecided that the next tournament be held at ’Wellington. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year :—resident, His Excellency, the Governor; vicc-Presidont, Mr. JCoates; Iron, secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. J. Crawford; auditor, Air. E. Bueholz, F.N.Z.A.A.; committee, Messrs. H. A. Russell, S. Williamson. W. Strang, H. ’Wilson and D. G. A. Cooper. It was decided to instruct the incoming committee to fix the date of the next tournament on or before 201 i December. Notice of motion was given to add to rule 6 the following, “such new team may ho rc handicapped.
